“If I could rate them higher than 5 stars, I would. I came to them around 20 weeks after receiving standard OB care prior. My only regret is not going to them sooner. They are thorough, knowledgeable, and patient. Any question I had, they had answers for. They made my first birth such a great experience… my husband and I couldn’t have asked for more.

Labor and Delivery were where I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. I labored for 3 days and a midwife was always available to talk me through what I was experiencing and when it was time to come to our home, they were prompt even though there was another mother in labor alongside me. They never rushed me into making decisions, they let me labor in private and gently made suggestions along the way. They coached my husband on ways he could better assist and when it came to pushing, Christina helped guide my large baby out and into the world and never made me worry. India kept me motivated and was encouraging me every step of the way. Truly a dream team and a beautiful experience thanks to both of them. If you are wanting a home birth with minimal intervention, safely, go to the Cincinnati Birth Center for your care”

“I knew before conception that my last baby was to be born at home. It was something I felt so deeply and passionately about. My feelings never wavered and only strengthened under the care of Meghan and Zoe. I loved the attention to detail at my appointments. I loved that I was heard and listened to and not just another name on a chart. They supported me fully. Pregnancy in a pandemic can be scary but I never once worried about my birth plan. The birth was magical and everything I had ever dreamt of. I had just the right level of support and was able to let my body do what it was designed to do while also having their knowledge and expertise right there alongside me. Having midwives come to my home postpartum was something new and so appreciated. This was my fourth birth and I’ve never felt so good! My only regret is that I waited for the courage to have this experience till my last baby. I can’t recommend Cincinnati Birth Center more and will sing their praise forever for the experience they helped me achieve.”

Meghan stayed in contact with me during my decision making and followed up and respected which ever decision I made
— Latrice Parks

“I was going back and forth about rather I would have a home birth or go to the hospital during this COVID Pandemic. Meghan stayed in contact with me during my decision making and followed up and respected which ever decision I made. Thankfully I decided to have the home birth with Meghan as my midwife. Her quick responses during my labor experiences were appreciated and reassuring and her calm demeanor during my labor was very helpful. She delivered my second baby and if I was to have a third I would want her a part of that labor and delivery as well. I am very thankful for Meghan and her 2 assistants, Jackie and Zoe they made me feel very comfortable during my delivery and they were very professional and friendly. I highly recommend!!!”

We can’t recommend the Cincinnati Birth Center and Meghan enough. Bringing our son into the world this way was unlike anything I will experience; it was so incredibly empowering.
— Ruth Reveal

“We welcomed Wesley during a thunderstorm at 4:00 am on April 8th. It was an intense 5-hour labor. We were surrounded by our incredible team of midwives from the Cincinnati Birth Center, our doula, and my mom.

There was a certain unexplainable magic of the gentle guidance of women assisting me through labor that I have trouble comprehending or putting into words. We felt so safe and at ease throughout the entire pregnancy and labor (and postpartum!) because of Meghan. She is so capable, knowledgeable, calm, and compassionate. I never felt any anxiety during our prenatal visits-she spent time to answer our questions, offer options, and make sure everything was going on the right track. During labor she was a source of reassurance, quietly monitoring while allowing my body to work. After we soaked in those amazing first moments after the birth, she helped us navigate everything postpartum. Everything happened in our own time and she made sure she felt comfortable with each step.

We can’t recommend the Cincinnati Birth Center and Meghan enough. Bringing our son into the world in this way was unlike anything I will experience; it was so incredibly empowering.”

“At 35 weeks into our last pregnancy, my husband and I decided to have a water birth at home. This decision was due to the concerning state of hospitals during the COVID-19 crisis, but also because we wanted a different experience than our previous hospital births had afforded us. After hearing several glowing reviews about Meghan, I decided to meet her. I was immediately impressed by Meghan’s thoroughness and professionalism in establishing me as a client, taking an extensive look into my medical history and learning as much as she could about my two previous birth so as to determine the best ways of ensuring a healthy, speedy home birth.

The day that I went into labor, I contacted Meghan to let her know what was going on. She is always quick to respond and let me know that she would, as promised, be available as soon as I requested her presence. She arrived at my home very quickly, was extensively prepared for both the foreseen and unforeseen, and came accompanied by her two assistants with whom I was already acquainted. Her assistants were respectful of me, my family, my home, professional in their conduct, and were extremely helpful both during and after the birth. Meghan’s non-invasive approach, professional experience, and calm demeanor was so very comforting to me during the process of labor and the eventual birthing of my baby. I felt respected and dignified by her throughout the entire process, and she afforded my family and I the most positive and beautifully memorable birthing experience we could have ever imagined.”

Thank you for being such a wonderful part of the pregnancy and birth of baby Anthony; it really was the most beautiful, peaceful, supportive, grace filled gift of life.
— Jeff & Christina

“Thank you for being such a wonderful part of the pregnancy and birth of baby Anthony; it really was the most beautiful, peaceful, supportive, grace filled gift of life. We would love to continue with you if we are blessed with more children in the future. Thank you again for all you did during the prenatals, birth, and postpartum…we are fortunate to have you in Cincinnati and will highly recommend you! I absolutely loved the warmth, cozy, birth pool, ambiance, of our loft bedroom for the birth, and how the whole family could come right up-all Anthony’s siblings-to be part of those first moments. I love how Anthony and I were able to just relax and bond in the birth pool without any rush. It truly was such a special birth.”

“I cannot thank you enough for what you did for me and my family.  I clearly remember the moment that you came into the room when I was in labor.

Very calmly and clearly you simply suggested that I change positions and you helped me to do so. As soon as I changed positions, the baby’s heartbeat went back to normal and I delivered him within 10 minutes.
— Jennifer Woods

I was in hard labor and was struggling, the baby’s heartbeat was accelerating and seemed to be on the verge of distress, the hospital was being mentioned by another midwife.  You came into the room and began to set up a labor chair, going about that business with a calm purpose.  Very calmly and clearly you simply suggested that I change positions and you helped me to do so.  As soon as I changed positions, the baby’s heartbeat went back to normal and I delivered him within 10 minutes.

For me, your presence in the room changed everything.  I went from being scared and struggling, to being calm and empowered.  I remember my birth experience with joy and I will forever attribute that to you.  Every year on Noah’s birthday we tell him his birth story and every year we tell him a wonderful woman named Meghan helped get him out of my belly.  Thank you.”

From the traumatic birth, I had with my first birth, I didn't think it would be possible to be this happy. I met Meghan when I was looking for a preceptor. She and her partner Pam took me in with no precondition. I started apprenticing with Meghan and I told her how painful my first birth was. She was empathetic. When I told her about my second pregnancy, she was happy for me. She helped me with finding sources when I was looking for a provider who supports VBAC. She checked up on me throughout my pregnancy. When she asked me for my due date and told me she will come, from Cincinnati to Arizona, I thought she was kidding. She came all the way here and I couldn't be happier. She massaged my belly, trigger points and comforted me. I was sure I was going to end up having a c-section again. But she reassured me that this time would be different.

We walked throughout my labor. I was confident enough to stay out of the hospital after my contractions got closer. When we got to the hospital, I was fully dilated. She held my had through my contractions, she reassured me, suggested alternative positions for my pain. Reminded me to advocate for what I wanted. She even once confronted the doctor when she tried to break my water without me noticing. She was continuously reassuring my husband, explaining to him what was happening and how things were. She was there to answer my son's questions too. I felt empowered and capable and had a successful beautiful VBAC because of her!

I cant think of any better midwife and a doula than Meghan! She is the best, experienced and well informed in many areas. She is there to answer any question. My husband and i are so thankful she was with us and I am so grateful to have her beside me, she is a Godsent. I am blessed to have Meghan as a doula and a friend. I highly recommend Meghan.

I knew I needed help getting through my 8th delivery the way I really wanted, WITHOUT an epidural... Meghan not only helped make that possible for me, but she was right by my side with amazing support the entire time!
— Tanya Pampel

After 7 babies and 7 epidurals, I knew I needed help getting through my 8th delivery the way I really wanted, WITHOUT an epidural, even though I had been told in the past it most likely wasn't possible. Meghan not only helped make that possible for me, but she was right by my side with amazing support the entire time!

I am so grateful for her and feel so blessed to have had her as my doula, I would highly recommend her to anyone! I could really write so much about how thankful I am…I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it!

The service was phenomenal and complete. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
— Cheryl Hardin

Meghan was my midwife for my second child. The care that she provided during the pregnancy, through the birth, and after was gentle and kind. The service was phenomenal and complete. She was with me every step of the way. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I really appreciate how inclusive she is with partners, and the level of quality prenatal/postpartum care
— Libby M

My family has had two births with Megan as our midwife. She has been amazing all around. She is professional, understanding, knowledgeable, and kind. I really appreciate how inclusive she is with partners, and the level of quality prenatal/postpartum care. During labor and delivery she is calm and thorough. She empowers the birthing mother while doing her job as the medical professional. I trust her decisions and have always felt listened to on my wishes. I can't recommend her enough!

We hired Meghan as our doula, since I wanted to deliver our baby naturally. My husband and I debated on whether this was a necessary expense. But it was worth every penny we invested. Meghan was so helpful throughout the pregnancy. She met with us a few times to help us get prepared. The day of the delivery, she helped both my husband and me know what do during labor. She helped us find more comfortable positions to be in, advocated for us with the hospital staff and encouraged us greatly. I don’t think I would have been able to give birth to our daughter without pain medication if it weren’t for Meghan. After we came home, Meghan gave us breastfeeding support that turned out to be essential in establishing breastfeeding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her or hire her again for future children.
