Day of Love

Join the Safer Birth Foundation for a heartwarming Sunday filled with love and joy at Memorial Field! This is a free event for all regardless of background or affiliation!

 

Throughout the event, our booth will be demonstrating how to create a simple, healthy, and delightful summer dish for those hot days outdoors while also discussing pregnancy care and how to ensure those pregnant or seeking to become pregnant can begin their pregnancy journey in the best way from start to finish.

General Information Below:

On Sunday, August 25, 2024, the Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church (LHMBC), Lincoln Heights Outreach Incorporated (LHOI), and Village of Lincoln Heights will come together to bring an exciting “Day of Love” to Lincoln Heights and surrounding communities!

Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church Located at 9991 Wayne Ave in Cincinnati, Ohio is thrilled to announce its upcoming Day of Love, a vibrant event to celebrate LHMBC’s 96th Anniversary. Aimed at fostering community unity and spreading the love of God. The event promises a day filled with joy, fellowship, and fun activities for all ages. Join LHMBC and the Lincoln Heights Community for a Day of Love!

Admission, food, festivities, and all of the services for the Day of Love are free and open to all.

This event will be held at Memorial Field, 1200 Lindy Ave, Cincinnati Ohio, 45215 in Lincoln Heights, and is open to all regardless of background or affiliation.

Attendees can anticipate a variety of engaging activities and attractions, including but not limited to:

  • Morning worship service

  • Carnival rides, petting zoo, pony rides, and game trucks

  • Family-friendly games and activities for children

  • Jambulance

  • Multiple vendors

  • Delicious food and refreshments

Opportunities to connect with community organizations and resources.

WAPF: Potluck and Garden Building Workday

Hello WAPF Family,

Our next gathering will be on SATURDAY, APRIL 27th from 9am – 4pm located at 841 Lincoln Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45206.  Please come for all or part of the day.

This will be our first community workday. We are returning to Cincinnati Birth Center to help create an herbal garden. The CBC received a grant to create this project, which will bring a space for our insect, bird, and other friends, as well as; provide herbal medicinal to help with the care of mother and baby. Please bring gloves, all other tools provided.

Come for all or part of the day, whatever time you can share!

9-12: Outdoor garden project

12-1: Potluck: bring a WAPF-inspired dish to share, as well as your own plate, bowl, cup, utensils, napkins, etc.

1-4: Continue outdoor garden project

Spring Community Gathering

Our Community Spring Gathering is here! The Safer Birth Foundation has partnered with the Cincinnati Birth Center to bring one and all together for a spring family fun day. Plenty of fun for everyone. There will be a bounce house, egg hunt, raffle, food, and drinks. While you are here, grab some soil and a cup, plant a seed, and take it home to watch it grow. All are welcome!

The Cincinnati Birth Center is excited to host Keena Striker's (of Kinetic Keena) Family Yoga and Fellowship class at our birth center! This class is directed at all current and expecting mothers, and the entire family is welcome! Keena will teach you how to find peace and serenity through yoga and meditation.

Please bring tea or snacks to share! Following the class we can get to know one another better by discussing community resources for parents while making new friends.

Ticket Cost:

  • $15 = One adult (+ one child)

  • $5 per additional child
